We Want Freedom In India, Not From India, Says JNUSU Leader Kanhaiya Kumar

JNUSU leader Kanhaiya Kumar, after being released from the Tihar jail, addressed a huge gathering of students at JNU campus on Thursday night.
Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union President Kanhaiya Kumar on Thursday night declared that what the students wanted was "Freedom in India," not "Freedom from India."
Addressing the students at the campus, soon after his release rom Tihar jail, Kanhaiya said,"It is not Azadi from India, it is Azadi in India, from the corrupt practices that are going on inside the country."
Attack on JNU was planned
In his speech he attacked the BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that the University and its students were attacked because they took on the government through Occupy UGC moment and demand justice for Hyderabad University sstudent Rohith Vemula.
"The attack on JNU is a planned one as they want to de-legitimise the UGC protest and to dilute the fight for justice for Rohith Vemula
In his speech he also said, "the BJP government does not take kindly to any criticism of its functioning or ideology.
Addressing the gathering, soon after his bail, Kanhaiya said," We Indians forgot easily but this time the Drama was be so big that still remember all the 'Jumla' during the election campaign. If you speak against the government, their cyber cell will send your doctored videos and count the number of condoms in your hostel.
Azadi from caasteism
Further explaining about Azadi, Kanhaiya said," I want to tell the whole nation today, what was the Azadi we ask for. We want Azadi from Capitalism, from Casteism, from Brahmanism. this is the Azadi we want. "
