Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal regains his No.1 spot in the BWF worlds ranking
Famous Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal regains the No.1 spot in the latest women's singles BWF (Badminton World Federation) worlds ranking on Thursday.
Saina gained the no1 spot in the first time in his career in March of this year.After a long wait of 35 years Saina has gained No.1 spot in Badminton for India after Prakash Padukone gained No.1 spot in 1980.
Saina was slipped to second spot after being defeated by Li Xuerui in the semi-finals of Malaysia Open in the early last month.
However Saina has now climbed to No.1 spot ahead of the Australian Open that is going to start the next week in Sydney
Meanwhile the two times World Champion PV Sindhu has been dropped a place to be on the No.12 spot.
While in men's singles, 3 Indians have retained their positions in top 25. K Shrikant is at No. 4, P Kashyap and HS Parnnoy are at 13th and 15th spot respectively.
