Pakistan calls off NSA level meeting, says condition set by India unacceptable.

Pakistan on late Saturday evening has called off the NSA level meeting and said that the conditions set by India were unacceptable.

Pakistan has called off the meeting after India hardened its position that the talk would be only on terrorism and Kashmir is not the agenda of meeting.

Calling Pakistan's decision to cancel the talk as "unfortunate",  said India's Foreign Minister spokesman Vikas Swarup. India has not set any precondition. We only reiterated that Pakistan respect the spirit of Shimla and Ufa Aggrements in which it was already committed.

Earlier in the day, India's External affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made a press conference in which she gave deadline till midnight to Pakistan to decide weather they want to stick to their demand that Kashmir should be their agenda for the talks.

Swaraj also said that "there will be no talks" when asked what would happen if Pakistan did not accept the position outlined by her on separatists and Kashmir.

The talk between India and Pakistan already looked bleak earlier on Saturday as Pakistan insisted it will take up core issue of Kashmir.

"Keeping in mind the spirit of the Shimla Agreement, don't make Hurriyat the third party to the talks and keeping the spirit of Ufa, don't expand the subject of talks beyond terrorism," Swaraj said.

On Saturday, Aziz said at press conference in Islamabad that he will hold talk with Doval but Kashmir would be on the table and he would also speak to the Kashmiri separatists.

A few hour later, Swaraj said at a news conference that Aziz was welcomed to meet his counterpart Ajit Doval in India but the agenda has to remain within what was agreed to at Ufa on 10th of July between their Prime Ministers.
