Talks with Pakistan Cricket Chief cancelled as Shiv Sena workers barge into BCCI Office

Shiv Sena on Monday stormed into BCCI headquarters in Mumbai shouting anti Pakistan slogans ahead of the meeting of BCCI and PCB officials over resumption of cricket ties between two countries.

The meeting between the two cricket boards have been canceled according to the reports by ANI.

On Sunday, Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Shaharyar Khan and head of the PCB's executive committee Nijam Sethi arrived in. Mumbai hoping to conceive the BCCI to confirm the bilateral series in December.

Beside their meeting with the new BCCI president Shashank Manohar and Secretary Anurag Thakur along with other Government officials in New Delhi.

This trip was made after we got invitation of Shashank Manohar, who took over as new Indian Cricket Chief, a official in PCB said.

Khan had also discuss the planned series with BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur on the sidelines of the ICC meeting in Dubai.

Thakur has assured him that the final decision could be taken later this month and conveyed Manohar's invitation to India to Shaharyar.

A reliable source in PCB said Khan and Sethi had both gone to India after holding discussions with the government's National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz.

"The PCB is mentally prepared to hold even a shorter series but they want the series to be in Pakistan's home series and in the UAE," the sources said.
