Luis Suarez, Neymar lead Barcelona to a 4-0 win over Real Madrid

Luis Suarez scored twice while Neymar added a goal and an assist to lead Barcelona an emphatic 4-0 win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first clasico of the season on Saturday.

Barcelona even had the luxury of leaving Lionel Messi on the bench, but the Argentine did make his return from a two months injury lay off half an hour from time and played his part in Suarez second and Barcelona's fourth goal.

Suarez got Barcelona off to a perfect start just after 10 minutes and Neymar deservedly doubled the visitors advantage just before the half time.

At that point, Neymar and Suarez had scored every one of Barcelona's last 19 La Liga goals but Andres Imiesta ended that run in style when he blasted a third into the top corner.

And Messi, Neymar and Suarez all combined for the latter to score the a fourth before Isco sealed an embarrassing defeate for Madrid by getting sent off late on.

The defeat handed hand Madrid its first home loss in 23 Spanish League games while Barcelona opens up a six-points lead in the standing.

Real Madrid fans loudly jeered their team after the loss, its fourth in the last five games against Barcelona. Fans waived white hair chiefs - a sign of dissatisfaction, that means "bye bye" to their coach(Rafa Benitez) and called for the resignation of president Florentino Perez.

There were unprecedented security measures in the place after the attack in Paris last week, with nearly 3,000 policemen and private security officers working to maintain public safety at the 81,000 capacity stadium. There was a minute of silence in the honor of victims in Paris.

Barcelona reached 30 points from 12 matches with the victory, Madrid remained with 24 points. Madrid needed to win to pull even with the rival in points and return to the top of the standings.

Third place Atletico, which plays at Real Betis on Sunday is one point behind Madrid and seven behund Barcelona.

Barcelona was in control during most of the game and never gave Madrid many chances to score and Cistiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale did not have any impact on the game.

The duo has scored 23 of the team's 27 goals since Messi got injured. 

Messi recovered from a left knee injury but started the clasico on the bench because he was not yet 100 per cent fit physically. The Argentine player had missed last nine Barcelona games.
