Kohli hit a 49 runs innings to guied India to the victory against Pakistan in a low scoring match by five wickets in an Asia Cup match.

In a sublime spell of fast bowling by Mahammad Aamir(4-18-3) reduced India to 8-3 before Kohli guided India to victory over Pakistan with almost five overs left.

The left arm seamer setp the match in the very first over by taking the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane putting India on 2-2 after the very first over.

After that Aamir removed Suresh Raina in his next over, leaving India dig out in a tizzy. 

Kohli was well supported by Yuvraj Singh who made unbeaten 14 runs, both made a decent partnership of  68-runs for the fourth wicket before kohli was wrongly given LBW out by the umpire as he was not able to spot the inside edge.

Before Kohli it was pacers who set up the game for India. Hardik Pandya bowled his best figures in t-20 international with the figures of 3/8 while Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets. Nehra and Bumraht took one wicket each.

Only two Pakistan batsman could  reach double digits in its lowest total against India. Sarfraz Khan scored 25 while Khurram Manzoor added 10.


Brief Score: India 85/5(Virat kohli 49, Mahammad Aamir 3/18) beat Pakistan 83(Sarfraz Khan 25, Hardik Pandya 3/8) by five wickets.
