Brussels Raid: Paris attack suspect Salah Abdeslam arrested

Paris attack suspect Salah Abdeslam has been arrested after four months at large in Belgium's captial, French officials said on Friday.

Another man arrested, Monir Ahmed, was also in the list of wanted suspects of the attack.

The officials told The Associated Press that he was arrested on Friday, in a major police operation in Brussels.

Abdeslam was among the attackers who killed 130 people at the rock concert, the national stadium andd the cafes on November 13 in Paris.

Three members of a family were also accused for harbouring  Abdeslam have also been detained.

French President Francois Hollande said he expected Abdeslam to be extradited to France "as rapidly as possible."

Abdeslam who has been at large since November 13 was wounded in the leg as the police moved in. Dramatic footage showed him being bundled into the police car after the volley of gunfire.

The Friday's capture of Abdeslam came after the Belgian authorities said that they have found his finger prints, in an apartment raided earlier this week in other Brussels' s  neighbourhood.

Federal prosecutor Eric Van der Sypt said it was possible Abdeslam had spent "day, weeks or months in the apartment.
