Gujjar ended Agitation after Rajasthan Government agrees to 5 percent quota

Gujjars have ended their eight days long agitation after the state government agreed that the would bring two laws including 5 percent reservation in the Special Backward Class to Gujjars and another 14 percent of the Economically Backward Classes.

The stanoff between Gujjars and the Rajasthan Government ended on late Thursday that have disrupted the rails line and road traffic between Delhi and Mumbai route over past few days.

The state government will introduce the bill in the next session of the assembly to increase the percentage of reservation in public sector jobs for the Gujjars.

Gujjars leader of the agitation, Kirori Singh Bainsla said that they are feeling convinced that we will get justice and also said that they have suffered alot and people will finally get their due and he apologized to the people of the inconvenience.

Because of this agitation many trains were diverted from their route and numerous of the trains were cancelled.

According to the Railway Board, the railways have suffered a loss of over 200 crore in the past week.

Also the high court on Wednesday, asked the state government and the police chief to quickly end this agitation and to vacate the road and the rail tracks.
