Mumbai Indians have crunched Chennai Super Kings by 41 run to lift their second IPL title.

Mumbai Indians posted a huge total of 202 for 5 in which skipper Rohit Sharma(50) and Lendl Simmons (68) played crucial roles.

The partnership between Rohit and Simmons of 118 run helped their team to build that huge total.

After Rohit and Simmons got out of the consecutive balls, Raidu(36*) and Kieron Pollard(36) lead their side to past 200.

Also Mumbai Indians bowlers did a very fine job with the ball.Mike Hussy(4) got out early that put more pressure on CSK and they opted  to concentrate on building a platform.Smith and Raina took their time and they could only managed to score 31 runs of first six overs.

Smith got half century in 45 balls but he was caught LBW by Harbhajan. Harbhajan also took the wicket of Raina by a brilliant delivery by the off spinner as he saw that Raina was stepping out and he bowled a wide ball and keeper did rest of the work.

Dohni(18) also played some shots but he was also not able to take his team to a victory.

Mitchell McClenaghan(3 for 25) and Lasaith Malinga(2 for 25) helped Mumbai to restrict CSK to 161/8.

Eiden Gardens is considered as a lucky ground for Rohit Sharma.MI won their first title at this venue only and also second one at the same venue and against the same team CSK.

Also Rohit Sharma scored his highest ODI score of 264, which is a world record and debut Test hundred at this ground only
