Australian pacer Ryan Harris retires from all forms of cricket after knee injury

Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris is retired from all forms of cricket today, after being ruled out of the Ashes series against England after knee injury.

The 35years old Harris was left out of Australia's warm up match against Essex after suffering from the knee trouble.

Scans revealed that his right injury has more damaged.

Harris also underwent surgery on his right knee last year.

"Given the news I received yesterday, after talking over it with my family , I know now is the right time for me to step away from cricket," Harris said.

Harris took 113 wickets in 27 test matches after his debut in 2010 and 44 wickets in 21 One Day Internationals.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan said that Harris would be Australia's most threatening bowler in the upcoming Ashes series.
