IPL Spot Fixing: Justice Lodha pannel suspended Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for 2 years

The Supreme Court headed by the former Chief-Justice of India R.M Lodha on Tuesday banned both Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra for betting in IPL.

Both Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra and Chennai Super Kings team official Gurunath Meiyappan were found guilty for betting in 2013 edition of the IPL.

Lodha panel has also suspended former champions Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings for two year which means that both the teams can not take part in the next two editions of the IPL.

It is still unclear that weather the auction will be opened for the CSK and RR players or not.

Justice Lodha said," the allegations against Meiyappan and Kundra stand proved however the charge on N Srinivasan was not proved."

According to the rules of IPL, the franchise of the team can be canceled if a team officials indulges in any act that could bring the game to disrepute.
