PM Modi launched Digital India project

Indian Prime Minister on Wednesday launched Digital India Project as an initiative to empower people and providing them better services with the use of Information Technology.

His dream to digitally connect India, PM launched his ambitious Digital India project. The purpose of this project is to a digitally empower people and knowledgeable economy.

Naredra Modi said that 4.5 lakh crore investment has been committed for the Digital India Project.

The P.M also unveiled logo for Digital India.

PM Modi said in the launching event of Digital India ,"I dream of a digital India where high speed digital highways to unite the nation. I dream of a Digital India where 1.2 billion people drive innovation in India. I dream of a Digital India where government is open and the governance is transparent," he said.

"I dream of a Digital India where rural economy has the acces to e-healthcare. I dream of a Digital India where the world looks to India for the next big idea," he added.

"Just like Make in India is important , Design in India is equally important. The world recognizes India's IT talent."

"It is the government's duity to ensure that the rural India is benefited for the Digital India Project," he said

People used to debate why the poor countries like India needs to send satellites? But now these satellites can be used to do weather forecasting, that benefits the poor farmers.

I am confident the the people of this country will be able to fulfill his dream of Digital India.

"We need to embrace the change that the digital connectivity can bring. The towns will come alongside the place where Optical Fiber Network is present. Banking will soon be paperless. The burden from the students can be reduced by the enforcement of Digital India."

Modi said ," Digital India can play a vital role in governence. Maximum Government and Minimum Governence can be a success to the Digital India Project."

"E-governance is economic governence and easy governence. We have to empower citizens. E-governence will soon become m-governence, it is not Modi governence it's mobile governence," he added.

Modi also talked about cyber security which is becoming important as the development of the Digital India. "Everyone is worried about cyber security. India should work so as to shield  the world from the threat of cyber welfare," he said.

I dream of a Digital India where cyber security becomrs integral part of the national security, he added.
