Former President of India A.P.J Abdul Kalam died of Heart Attack in Shillong

The former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam, also called as the "Missile man" died at the age of 83 on Monday because of the Heart Attack.

He was the 11th President of India and occupied the post between 2002 to 2007. Hr was one of the most popular President of India that is why he was also called as "People's President"

According to the reports, he collapsed while delivering a lecturer att IIM, Shillong at around 6:30 pm. He was taken to Berthany Hospital. Doctors said that he has suffered from a massive heart attack.

He was confirmed dead after more about 2 hours he was taken to the ICU.

Meghalaya Governer V Shanmughanathan also rushed to the hospital after hearing the news of his attack.

He said," Kalam died at about 7:45 pm. Despite medical team best efforts he could not be revived. "

Paying a tribute to Dr. Kalam, Primd Minister Modi said," my mind is filled with so many memories, interactions with him."

Home Minister Rajnath Singh also tweeted," The death of Dr. Kalam is irreparable loss to the nation. He has left a big void hard to fill. I deeply mourn hos death. RIP Kamal Sahab."

Aldo knoen as Missile Man, Dr. Kalam played a major role in a nuclear  test of Pokhran-2 in 1998.

He was also awarded Bharat Ratan for his achievements.

Abdul Kalam was born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram. His father was an owner of a boat.

He was a very bright student and was having a dream in becoming a pilot.

He became India's most celebrated aerospace and defense scientist.
