Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis win women's double Wimbledon title

Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis made a stunning comeback in the final set to claim the Wimbledon women's double title.

Sania and her partner Hingis hold their nerves to seal a 5-7, 7-6(4), 7-5 win over Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina.

Sania has claimed her maiden women's double title at Grand Slam while her partner Hingis has won Wimbledon doubles with Heelna in 1996 and Jana Novotna in 1998.

"Its been another lifetime. Seventeen years usually you are lucky to win it once or happy to be out here and play on Wimbledon grounds. It's above my expectations," said Hingis after winning the women's double title.

"To come out a Wimbledon, this is something we dream as a kids," said Sania.

Every kid after holding a tennis racket this is about winning Wimbledon or playing at Wimbledon one day," he added.
