Ammonia gas leaked in Ludhiana,six died

At least 6 people have been died and more than 100 are hospitlased due to the gas leak in the tanker Ludhana, Punjab on Saturday.

The taker that was carrying liquid ammonia was hit on the bridge near Ludhana that caused 5 dead and several injured.

The incident occurred near Doraha town on the Delhi-Ludhiana highway at around 11 P.M on Friday.

"A tanker got stuck under the flyover owing to its low light. The valves of the truck were damaged that results in the leak," the Superintendent of polic said.

"Around 100 people have been admitted to the various hospitals," he added.

The police have shifted the locals to some safer place from the affected place as a precautionary measure," the police officer said.

The officials said that the impact of the leackage was felt in more than 2 kilometers of the area.
