M.S Dhoni is the only indian cricketer in the forbes list of richest athletes

Indian Limited Overs Capitan Mahendra Singh Dhoni is among Forbes Magazine's 100 highest paid athletes in the world, the only Indian Sportsman.

The list has been topped by American boxer Flyod Mayweather.

Dhoni is at 23rd spot in the Forbes list of worlds highest paid athletes. Dhoin's total earning is almost $31 million including salary at$4 million and endorsement worth $27 million during 2014-2015 .

"He led India to the semi-finals of the 2015 Cricket World Cup before suffering a loss to the eventual champions Australia and in May Chennai Super Kings went to the finals of the IPL for 6th time," Forbes said.

Despite dropping to one spot down from 22nd position last year, very famous and several big earners including football stars Wayne Rooney (34), Sergio Aguero (45), tennis player Andy Murray (64) and Jamaican runner Usain Bolt (73).

While only two women, the Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova (26) has top-ranked women and Serena Williams (47) have made their spot in  the list.

The earning figures include salary, prize money and bounces payed between June 2014 and June 2015.

Flyod Mayweather rretained the top spot this year with the total earnings of  USD 300 million. This is third in four years the Mayweather has been named as the highest paid athletes.

Manny Pacquiao ranked second in the list with total earnings of USD 160 million followed by Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo with total earnings of USD 79.6 million.
