Suicide bomb attack on Nato convoy in Kabul, 4 dead

A Taliban suicide bomber who was driving the car has targeted a convoy of NATO troops in Kabul, killing 1 civilian and 22 injured.

The blast took place in front of Qazi Plaza, on the road to the airport, close to the U.S embassy.

Two NATO troops suffered injuries according to the reports.

The Taliban claimed the responsibility for the suicide bombing of the NATO convoy.

Witnesses said at least four people died and health officials confirmed 19 people including three women and three children were injured, according to the local news reports.

The reports of the blast rattled windows in the heavily guarded diplomatic enclave.

The explosion occurred as the government officials were leaving their offices at the end of the day, which is shorter than actual working days due to Ramzan month of fasting.

The incident occurred a week after a massive attack on the Afgan Parliament in which at least 6 people were killed and 18 people were injured.
