Rahane to lead for Zimbabwe tour, Dhoni, kohli rested

The selectors have announced Indian team for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour starting from 10th of July.

Indian Capitan Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, R ashwin, Rohit Sharma have been rested, while Harbhajan Singh, Robin Uthappa has made a come back in the ODI squad.

The Indian selectors today held a meeting in Delhi to pick up the squad for Zimbabwe tour.

The tour was initially in doubt after the problem between the bcci and the broadcasters. But the matter was solved after the BCCI officials and the Zimbabwe officials met in the ICC conference earlier this week in Barbedos.

India will play 3 One Day Internationals and 2 t20 internationals which will be starting for 10th July.

Ravi Shastri, who is currently the director of the team already cited his unavilibility for the tour.

Chief selector Sandeep Patil told the reporters that the squad was chosen keeping t20 world cup 2016 in mind.

Also the India 'A' team has been selected for the tri-series between Australia 'A' and South Africa 'A'. Cheteshwar Pujara will lead the team
