Bangladesh created history by defeating India in ODI for first time

Bangladesh defeated India by 6 wickets and created a history by winning first ever ODI series against India with one match to spare.

With the outstanding bowling performance followed by a good batting performance helped Bangladesh to defeat India in the second ODI by 6 wickets.

Mustafizur bowled brilliantly by taking 6 wicket haul while playing only in his second ODI that helped Bangladesh to restrict India for just 200 runs. Mustafizur has now become second bowler after Zimbabwe's Brian Vitori to take two five wicket haul in opening two game of their career and only bowler in the world to take 11 wickets in 2 games.

Chasing a comfertable target, All-rounder Shakin al Hasan played a brilliant innings 51 runs to power Bangladesh home in just 38th over.

Openers Tammin Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar took Bangladesh off to a steady start. Dhawal Kulkarni gave India first breakthrough in the 7th over by picking ip the wicket of Tamim.

Soumaya Sarkar and Litton Das scored half century partnerships to give their team the required momentum. Bit then Litton got out by playing a loose shot and giving simple catch to Dhoni.

Then Rahim and Shakib build a 54 runs stand for the 4th wicket. But Rahim got run out whild completing the second run for 31.

Earlier in the match, winning the toss, Indian captain M.S Dhoin opted to bat first.

But India got a disastrous start as Rohit Sharma fell on second very first over of Mustafizur.

Then Dhawan and Kohli scored some rund but Kohli got out on 23 after he caught LBW by Nassir Hussain.

MS Dhoni, today came at no.4 after the  dismissal of Kohli. He was under much criticism before the match because of his form tried to build a partnership with Dhawan.

But thid stand didn't last long as Dhawan was caught behind for 53 while stepping out and giving edge to the wicketkeeper.

Ambati Raydu who came as the replacement of Ajinkya Rahane, was not able to use the opportunity as he was out for a duck.

After Raydu's dismissal, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni built steady a partnership of 50 runs but just then Raina(34) gave his wicket away while trying to run down the bowl to third man.

With the wickets falling at regular intervals, all hopes were now on Dhoni but he failed to capitalize his innings and got out on 47.

Axar Patel got out for a duck by playing a poor shot but also good bowling by Mustafizur.

Ravichandran Ashwin also fell quickly in the 42nd over.

The rain halted the match for almost two hours when India was 196 for 8 In 43.5 overs.

After the play was resumed the match was reduced to 47 each side. Bangladesh needed only seven deliveries to wrap up the Indian innings after the play resumed.
